I prefer No Exit Wound to be honest, but I'm sure if they fiddled about with it they could make Ways of Staying Pure alot better.

They should have a limited ed. bonus disc with the 2nd album when it's released (NO RE-ISSUES! NOOOOOO!) with a CD worth of old demos and rarities like Lissom Slo. And maybe one or two alternative versions (Comedy Metal Solo Doll Fin!) to spice things up. That would be rad. Smile

if it has "Jos bosoms are my friends" on it, then it can have all the comedy metal solos and harpsichords you like Very Happy

what's to say that lissom slo won't be on the 2nd album anyway.. it's a strong track and i would say it's pretty unlikely to not be released properly.

what makes everyone think that a comedy title makes a good song? Smile
i doubt very much that anyone will ever hear this. i don't think i have - i think i heard me vs you once at guy's house... on a very bad tape.. it sounded like a practice or something! seriously dodgy.

I've always imagined Lissom Slo to be too short for an album track, it seems like very prime b-side material but since Once is kinda similar I'm not so sure now.

With regards to the earlier stuff I think it would be cool to hear previous songs, even if they are slightly worse. Reuben have always been a DIY rough edged band, so I don't think many people would bother. Making it part of a limited edition disc would also mean only the hardcore fans who love everything and anything Reuben would be into it. Or something.

Damnit, I just want to hear stuff from Betrayed...
Rock and Roll Calder wanted to shout for Enemy at the Aberdeen instore but was scared the band would laugh at him. Laughing

"Reuben have been at Jacob's studio in Farnham today, recording b sides for their forthcoming single with engineer Jeff Knowler. More news on this as it happens." - News Page.

Sounds good to me. They're always cheap anyways.

Although I don't know if singles charts allow this anymore, I think they changed the rules a few months back...
