Definitely Maybeshewill, and most other bands from the Leicester post-rock scene, especially Her Name Is Calla and Adebisi Shank who i've just got into and shall see for the first time on wednesday. I hear good things!

And if you like 65 then another band you might like is And So I Watch You From Afar, absolutely blistering live!

Very Happy Yeah!! I agree, awesome band.
'All around the world' is one of the best album finishers I've heard in a long time!

I guess you shoudl check out And So I Watch You From Afar. Particularly if you did like Maybeshewill.

Vessles are pretty damned good. Saw them play a gig earlier in the year, supporting Oceansize. The aalbum "White Field and Open Devices" is awesome.

At the risk of sounding dumb - you do know Glassjaw don't you? But they are gigging so I guess that's pointless if it's live music you're after.

One of my all time favourite bands (and probably my all time favourite album) is Dredg. They're from San Francisco so don't come over to UK very often but they are amazing. A. Maze. Ing.

If you like your post-rock, there are tonnes of great bands out there. I only like pure instrumental post-rock myself; Caspian, Explosions In The Sky, This Will Destroy You, Una Corda, Maserati, Beware Of Safety and Signal Hill are all fantastic.

like the rest of you =Reuben= have left an ugly gaping wound in my life. I don't follow music like I used to. That said I do think there is very few newer bands worth listening too, I genuinely believe there is less good music out there. I blame america!

I've been to a few gigs though:

MONEEN (incredible band definately worth a listen)
Hundred Reasons tenth anniversary tour (this shows I'm getting old)
Emery

nothing like the amount I used to go to. A few gigs in a year... that sucks.
