I reckon Suffication of the Soul is probly the best. It's just perfect in every way.

I'd have to go with the majority.

"Return of the Jedi" is intelligent, truthful and speculative.
"A Short History..." is beautiful, epic, song-writing wizardry that makes my nerves tingle.
and "Shambles" for me too, although an old song, revels in a new-found realization, sends shivers down my spine, and plays as a perfect swan song for everything the band has ever done.

Suffocation is great too, but those are the 3 that stick out for me (in no particular order). "In Nothing We Trust" was definitely their best effort.

Dusk - That song owned my stereo for a month straight.
Perfection, in every way.

Suffocation of the soul and three hail marys. Two of my favourite songs...

Return of the Jedi is possibly my favourite 'epic' reuben song especially with hindsight considering the situation all us reuben fans find ourself in makes the content of this song all the more poignant...

Cities on Fire blew me away first time I heard it. Its IMO the perfect album opener. Just the build up, and the anger. Incredible.

For me, I would have to say that Words from Reuben really defines them. There's just something about it that cuts through the poor production (cymbals especially. bad hiss. bad.) as a great piece of songwriting. For epicness its a close tie between Short History, and the acapella demos from megacomputer Razz

long shambles is the best song this band ever did. in terms of everything that made reuben great in one big ballsack, its that.

and i dont get all the hooplah about the last time, i think you're all being overly nostalgic. its a good song, yes, but by no means their finest. it wouldnt even be in the top 20.

I think a redo of the Reuben top 20 is in order after the new comp.

I don't think it would change too much. Well, it shouldn't anyway. Maybe Blitzkrieg would be in there, but I think any other change would just be nostalgia based.
