I'd willingly donate money to the cause but to be honest, like Bather said, its not that simple and the money side probably wasn't the problem as much as the pressure of getting everything like legal and rights sorted out. I couldn't live with a digital release. It would seem like such a downer and such a half arsed effort for a band that deserve more as a final send off. Having said that I never did get to hear Blitzkrieg.

The Last Time + Blitzkrieg released would be some kind of send off, at least

It just doesn't seem particularly fitting to fizzle out after cancelling a few festival slots via a message from Barney.

Even mclusky got a 3 disc special edition A, B and C sides album, and they imploded into a pool of unexplainable hatred.

They were on Too Pure, which was part of the beggars group though, so I guess they can afford things like that...

Does anybody else feel as ridiculously helpless as I do? I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one that wants to give something back to Reuben after all they've given us...

I think its just the way its happened. No-one could have seen it coming, at least from the fans perspective. There was talk of a fourth album, they were getting decent media coverage and they were at their most popular ever and then out of the blue a message from Barney. While it might not be over it could be the end and I always thought that, seeing as they cared about the fans so much that there would be at least some sort of goodbye from them rather than just from Barney.

Who is to say though.

Maybe something will be said over the course of the coming weeks by them.

Either that or there's gonna be a whole lot of 'I know a guy who knows a guy who spoke to Guy...' etc etc etc

re the mclusky thing, (correct me if i'm wrong) it was probably toopure's decision to put mcluskyisms out... may not have even had the consent of the band!

There was a foreword from Falkous (think it was him anyway...) saying how they wanted it put it out.

Beat me to it, but yeah, Falco thought it was a good idea. (Except the B sides disc, but that's a whole different story for a whole different time)

Then of course last year there was "The mclusky Torrent" which was a compilation of rare/unreleased/demo/live/bootleg tracks and studio/live videos, which was over 1Gb of pure awesome and got a load of their (otherwise unhearable) stuff out.

Just saying...

Which was never seeded enough for me to download it.. which angers me

I couldn't see an ultimate Reuben torrent happening though - it suited Mclusky in a weird way but reuben... I dunno...

They mean lots to me!

Which is why a Reuben torrent doesn't seem like such a good idea.

Mclusky rarities torrent was mainly bootlegs and unreleaseable demos and was compiled long after they split. I'm not saying it's ok, but it's a good way to get some rarities out.

Like I said, what works for one band, won't work for another.

Where is this Last Time thing on the DVD? I could only find a little snippet of it on the last diary entry...
