Tonights gig at Birmingham has set the bench mark for the whole tour, and Reuben gigs from now on.

Setlist (practically in order):

(Jim came out with his face covered in duct tape, and bananas stuck to his head)
Scared Of The Police
Blood Bunny Larkhall
Tonight My Wife Is Your Wife
Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em
BLIZGRIEK!
Three Hail Marys
Captain of Lies
Return of The Jedi

Acoustic Break:
What's Good For Me
Deadly Lethal Ninja Assasin
The Only One [New Acoustic Song]

Banner Held High
Alpha Signal Seven
No One Wins The War
Freddy K
Cities On Fire
Shambles (Long Version)

It was fucking amazing! Words cannot describe.
A major gig for the old school-ers.

Oh, and look out for a 'On The Road' feature in Kerrang! in a few weeks, following the boys on tour. Special appearance from Jims microwave and Tescos Chicken Hotpots.

Fucking shite setlist, imo. No fucking Stuck In My Throat, Blamethrower, Good Luck, We're All Going Home In An Ambulance, Every Time A Teenager Listens.., Lights Out, Agony/Agatha, Act Of Kindness? Fuck off. Why don't they play songs that are actually on their albums?

Looking forward to that! Especially the acoustic bit, and Shambles, just cos I've fallen in love with it.

Birmingham was awesome. I was more or less erect throughout. I didn't even mind that the last train home was cancelled.

Roll on Sheffield tomorrow

...and Nottingham on Saturday.

...and Frank Turner on Thursday, come to mention it. This is gonna be a good week methinks.

And, as for the criticisms regarding the set-list, don't be silly. If you saw the lads back in September, the two gigs complemented each other perfectly. Major current tracks (Cities and Blood Bunny to name two) were played at both, and while on the last tour we got Lights Out and Good Luck, tonight we got Freddy Kreuger, What's Good For Me and Shambles. As close to a perfect set as anyone could realistically hope for.

It's the perfect pop song.

"In a funny kind of way you aaare beautiful, in a funny way I am too..."

Only heard it at the Los Skeletos show years ago but it was that catchy that I still remember how it goes. It's awesome. I pray they record it, personally I was amazed it didn't turn up on VFVD.
