After the triumphant reappearances of Shambles and Blitzkrieg (oh, and Push), it surely makes sense for the forum to pick some fresh obscure unreleased songs to annoyingly mention all the time in the hope that they might eventually see the light of day. The short list:

Don't Die
Worn to Be Seen / Stupid / Million / Million Stupid
Catch
Lissom Slo
Red Machine
and I guess loads of ten-years-old Angel stuff.

Run forth and make a nuisance of yourselves!

Million Stupid, because it's got an awesome name. And would generate even more odd looks than shouting for Blitzkrieg or Captain of Lies at live shows from people who think you're in the wrong place.

Aha.

I'm surprised Lissom Slo hasn't been recorded as a b-side yet after all the talking about it on here.

i'm going to hedge my bets and votes for Lissom Slo.... i've got the original recording of it and would love to hear a new version.

BUT FIRST
(although its not an old song)

we (i) want the now infamous da da da dadada song from the very start of Day 4 of the video diaries.

Wasn't that used in some part of the film on the DVD?
It was probably recorded specially for that purpose.

If they're DEFINITELY not making it a song, I'm stealing it.

Well, the new song they're playing on tour is used on the studio diaries. It's on the last day, when Jamie backflashes over the time in the studio, and there's the music played over it. It's just an instrumental version on the DVD/video but obviously they've added lyrics to it now.

I think it's called 'The Last Time', so if you're not seeing them on tour this time around or just want to check it out then do so and you'll see what it sounds like. Razz

Red Machine's pretty cool. Lissom Slo I think could sound pretty good with a decent recording. Is Stupid the same song as Worn to Be Seen? If so, that's pretty disappointing as I think Stupid is pretty mediocre, and really wouldn't mind if it never got released. Although having said that, having the lyrics "I hear he's fucked up and inbred" released in any Reuben song would be good, regardless of what song it's in.

I think it's time they start writing songs especially to use as B-Sides, rather than just rehashing old songs, especially since most of the decent old tunes (Long shambles, push, what's good for me, apporaching by stealth) have now been released.

Well, as most of the old ones have been re-recorded and released then surely they'll have to write new songs for b-sides when releasing singles, right? Smile
