i reckon it more that reuben are not very big rather then the type of band they are as rumors are that slipknot are playing this year as they have done before and there is a load of heavy stuff in the lock up tent so maybes they will play

Yeah still going myself, shame Reuben won't be there though.

Big crew of people going up from the Bromley UK area.

What a load of absolute shit "Reading isnt really a Reuben festival" hahaha that's the funniest thing I've heard in ages. Reading is a total mix of all kinds of bands.

I can see reuben playing like any other band. They have a chance on the lockup. Although they will probably play download again and bands that play download dont usually play reading as well.

I'm considering going to Leeds for Rage, QOTSA, Biffy and Dizzie Rascal.

What kind of bands (similar to Reuben) have played?

I garuntee they will be more punky (and hence fit on the Lock up stage) or be NME backed (and fit on the NME stage).

As reuben is neither, reading is not a reauben festival.

Maybe not 'Reuben style' bands, but heavier bands who aren't punky or NME backed.

Metallica
Killswitch Engage
Thrice
Mastadon
Fightstar
The Dillinger Escape Plan

It's not the popularity, it's the 'genre' I'm on about.
Some of them aren't that much more popular. Both Fightstar and Dillinger are playing the same sized venues as Reuben at the minute.
