hiya guys Smile
so basically i have made a reuben fan site on myspace called 'think of jimbo this chrimbo' - www.myspace.com/tojtc
anyway the site offers goodies (graphics and such for myspace) amongst other things.
however i have two things to mention:
1) we are looking for a graphic designer/someone who knows photoshop well to help co-run the site and make graphics.
2) we would really like people to send us pics of themselves with reuben and reuben tattoos. these pictures will be displayed on the site for other fans to see.
if you're interested in either one, add us on myspace and contact us there, or email us at tojtc@hotmail.co.uk
anyways feel free to check out the site and add it

Looks good, but personally I find fan sites to be totaly pointless, as it is very rare you will discover any new information about the band that you couldn't find out from the official website / forum (unless you're Radiohead and you don't have one).

clean? lol :S
i'll take that as a compliment

yeh well i followed your instructions and emailed the band, but i'm still waiting for a reply which i guess will be sometime near the end of the sum 41 tour when they aren't as busy... obviously if you think i shouldn't use any of the images until i've heard back from them, i can take them down asap.

i'm not that fussed to be honest, some of the owners of the pics might be though - it's your call but don't say i didn't warn you Smile

and clean is a complement, most myspace pages are so busy and messy with flashing stuff, 60millino different colours etc!

Considering its a myspace I like the layout.
Most myspace fansite type things are pretty lame.
I'd offer to make graphics if I wasn't ridiculously snowed under by coursework.
Once I'm not so busy I'll get back to ye. Smile

I'm making a Reuben fansite for my Applied ICT A2 coursework.
Got to get feedback of Jamie too, so that should be some good fun.

Will let you guys in on it as it progresses. Wink

That's awesome.
The only way I'd enjoy ICT is if I got to do stuff like that.
The course in my college sounds boring as.

We have to create an original website made for an actual user containing 3 - 6 pages. It has to include the use of CSS, a navigation bar, interactive features, templates, and external hyperlinks.

I e-mailed the band at Hideous Records, and Jamie said he'd be more than happy to help me. But if he's too busy you could always be a user too Ric? Very Happy

Cheers Ric!
Basically, all you need to do is look, see what you like/dislike about it, and then tell me.

Piece of cake. Wink

Fansite is finally complete, and I need some audience feedback.
So if you could, please visit the website and look about, then send me a message back on here and tell me what you think about it.
Constructive criticism is welcome.

Here's the link: http://sjdict.co.uk/zachredrup

Please be aware that I am limited to a maximum of 6 pages, and due to time restrictions I've not included half as much media as I could if I were to do this properly.

NOTE: It's best viewed under a resolution of 1024x768 because apparently the banner and navbar move a bit otherwise. If this is still the case press refresh a few times and it should work fine.

Also, the @wordsaremissing.com e-mail address is not authentic and does NOT work. It's just there to make the website look more professional.
Very Happy

hi,

i'll post more later, but first impression is that you really need to sort the banner out.

you can't specify this kind of thing

Code:
style="position:absolute; width:200px; align:center; height:43px; z-index:3; left:126px; top:213px;"

and then have something else centred - it will only line up at one exact resolution. so even at 1024x768, it won't look right if the browser isn't maximised.

other than that it looks pretty good - there are a bunch of simple things (which i'll post later) that will make it much better.
