Heys kool to meet you aidan for the brief second that is was. Didnt see anyone else as I didnt no what you looked like. I had moustache on though yeah.

So lucky that reuben finished early as I got home I had a ring from my grandad saying he needed my help and didnt feel well. So if It was a later finnish my grandad could have been worse as nobody else was in and nobody to phone ambulance. Anyway he's doing ok.

For those that asked (Aidan, etc) my tooth is alright now.

I have to go and have a root canal (on my front teeth, fuck!) which can only be done privately and will cost about 500, but the electric ballroom are picking up the bill apparently. But after they've done that there's only about a 10% chance they'll have to remove them. Smile

I'm a massive fan of Reuben, through Pilot EP, Betrayed on to In Nothing We Trust (and everything in between), and until Friday I had yet to see them live, but I must say, I was pretty underwhelmed.

I found myself lacking any real connection to their set list, there were a number of songs I didnt particularly like and they missed out some of my favourites.

Jamie was hilarious but due to various things (the numer of their poppier songs they played, my age and the age of the crowd in general) it felt more like a birthday party

Now obviously I dont want to insult Reuben (who I truly do love) or their fans, but basically, does their setlist differ very often, do they switch it around alot?

I'm not sure why I didnt enjoy it (at all really, I wanted to leave at 9) but will definitely check them out again when they come back to London, hopefully my lack of enjoyment was down to a fluctuation of moods if anything.

Ok i've been busy the last few days, so i havn't had chance to post about this gig.

I'm gonna talk about Baddies, who i really enjoyed seeing. I really want this band to release a proper album, they're fucking lively on stage and their songs are so catchy (probably because of the way they're sung). Definitely deserve more attention from the industry.

Plus they made me regret never seeing Engerica as there were some obvious elements of that awesome band when Baddies played.

So after that it was Ghost of a thousand, who i thought were a bit too like Gallows, but i liked how the guy jumped in the pit (which had previously consisted of one really small shaven headed guy or girl and another randomer) and everyone joined in like:

"YEAH MAN I WAS ALWAYZ IN DA PIT ALL ALONG!"

Amused me. But i heard a few people got rope burn from his Mic lead...unluck.

Then Reuben came on (very quickly after Ghost') as you all know. Although nothing will ever live up to my first Reuben gig this came pretty damn close. Three Haily Marys was perfect live, so heavy and awesome and everyone knew the words! Screamed along with a few people. And i'm still humming Blitzkrieg as i type. I liked jamies comment

"it's only two words sing along" or something to that effect.

Very catchy and an epic pop song from the reubs.

I dunno how i feel about early curfew, in some ways it's more stressful travelling up in rush hour but at least you don't have to worry about getting a train home.

Friday night was brilliant.

I caught Ghost of a Thousand through the middle of their set and I was again unwhelmed by their Gallows-esque-but-not-Gallows style like when they supported Alexisonfire in november.

By gum Reuben were on fast soon after, I didn't even get a drink in that time! I'm beginning to remember their set as you guys have mentioned it which is worrying because that means I was not as wasted as I thought I was.
I must make the following apology: to the guy stood to the right in front of me, I am sorry for constantly elbowing your head as I tried to wrestle as close as I could to the front... I did shake your hand I think but you didn't seem happy... If that was anyone on here, I'm sorry!
But yeah, amazing gig, Shambles sounds fecking awesome live Very Happy

If anyone wants to see my pics:

I'm pretty sure I made it public. It includes sticking Frank Turner stickers and tagging Jamie as "God" Very Happy

I also met good old Sean Genockey who seem delighted that we recognised him (aren't I the star-spotter) first thing I said was "genock-piece" but he didn't seem to mind..
