Clerks 2 is a horrific piece of sub-vomit-porn trash. It's like a mixture of freshly melted tar and burning dog hair, but applied to the eyes.

Sum 41 are like this too. But for the everything.

James I love you like a filthy Scottish bruddah, but you're WRONG.
Clerks II is the tits.

Yeah man, Clerks II is absolutely fucking badass. Probably the hardest I've laughed during any film in a while.

I'm with James, I've never seen the appeal of those films.

Which ones have you seen chip-face? Clerks and Clerks II are definitely different film styles...

Mallrats
Clerks
Clerks II
Jay and Silent bob strike back
Dogma

are all awesome

Chasing Amy is pretty shit and the lead actresses voice makes me wanna vomit. Never seen Jersey Girl.

He's directing a new movie now, also written by him, also starring himself and Jason Mewes (return of j and silent bob?), it's a horror called Red State. hmmmm. Horrors are generally despicably bad

Those two are pretty different from his earlier stuff. Especially between Clerks and Clerks II. Big difference in style there.

Lets not get ahead of ourselves here. I'm talking about Clerks 2.

Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma... all great films. Jay/Bob strike back is pretty good, but it's no classic and the brilliance of Smith's earlier films is no longer there. There is no vitality. Clerks 2 sees Smith jump ENTIRELY over the fucking shark. With his hands in the air, both thumbs up, doing his best Arthur Fonzarelli impression.

Dig.

The phrase "Jump over the shark" is one which until this point has eluded me. I don't have the faintest clue what it means, but I love it.
