I know the amount of Christmas is Awesome threads is annoying, but I haven't seen a poll for people's opinions so I thought it's worth a go, delete if you think it isn't needed.

Personally, I think it could probably make #3 if enough rock fans see it on Youtube before it's released, I doubt it'll have the power to beat the X Factor winner though unfortunately. Sad

This is how I see it; realistically, I reckon the single can top the download and/or the rock chart, and probably top 40 normal chart...

HOWEVER,

We should certainly aim to get it up there to #1, as the further we push it, the higher it is likely to go up the charts Smile

Top 10 or even 20 would be good, it'd get them heavily noticed and air time on the radio in future.

We can but try, alas!

Yeah I really don't think it's that unrealistic it could get in the top 10. Didn't DLNA get into the top 20? But number one is probably a tab ambitous.

DLNA got number one in the radio 1 rock chart, but thats only radio 1 isn't it.

Not sure about the normal charts though.

even if this gets to number 1, won't it still only be iTunes number 1?
does that count as the real chart? I thought the real chart was like cds bought in shops or something

No.

I'm sorry guys, but i doubt it's gonna make the top 40, maybe top 50.

Christmas is for pop, simple, it's just not accessible for the mass, even though it's been dumbed down a little.

I just don't think it's going to do very well in the mainstream market.

Don't get me wrong I like it.

You're missing the point. "The mass", is not a pre-existing group of people, it's whoever buys it. If, for example, every person in the facebook group bought it, it WOULD get in the top 40. Maybe not top 10, certainly not no. 1, but it WOULD get top 40.
