Actually, a better idea than a straight B-sides/rarities album.

Have one disc with all the original shady sound quality, possibly shady song quality songs from days of yore (including Angel stoof mebbe?), THEN have a disc with shinier, spanglier newer versions of them.

Could make for some interesting debates (such as new vs. old Glitterskin), and we could get stuff like the mystical extended Shambles and the newer version of SOTP that appeared on the MySpace a while back.

Innit?

New.

Sorry, premature, but it's so true.

To be honest, a lot of the older stuff quite simply isn't as good as the newer stuff... I'd much rather new material than old.

I mostly agree, although many wouldn't. If I'm honest, what I reaalllly want is legal versions of the first three singles without paying e-bay prices. An impossible dream perhaps, I don't know Sad

I totally agree - maybe do them as downloads or something. Same with the SIMT B-sides.

However I would still love a proper collection at some point so *signed*

Amen brother, that's why I never signed here. A b-side album doesnt even seem like a realistic possibility until at least another 1, maybe 2 albums down the line

I believe it was another 2 planned, no? Written would be quite something, admittedly, but 2 albums worth of material already ready to go would make for very boring band practises for the next 3 years! No songwriting, just practising the same 25ish songs already written...

in that case.

a double album, right now... then they can get started on some new songs for a fifth album next year!

then a b-sides/rarities album to follow up the fifth. sounds awesome to me.

Sometimes the old stuff is amazing
but other times it can be a bit dodgy
Espesially if it's a bad recording..
