Just whacked this in my CD player and am giving it the proper headphone treatment. Halfway through We're All Going Home in an Ambulance and I fucking love it already.

Right, I've just got home with the album, the whole presentation of it in the posh case is very nice! Awesome artwork too. I'm only halfway through Suffocation of the Soul, already got a fat grin on my face because I already know this is going to be a contender for one of the best albums I own. I've had a read of the lyrics which are as always, awesome. And Genockey did a fantabulous job on the production, it sounds so raw, heavy, dynamic, just awesome!

Nicely done Reubs! Very Happy

This is the best album ever.
The packaging is SWISH, the lyrics to the songs are SWISH, the whole thing is just a bag of SWISH.

Really loving Crushed Under the Weight of the Enormous Bullshit, I knew it'd end up being my favourite song off the album, that fucking riff is just mental, BURGEONING YOUR HEAD IN OVER AND OVER AND OVER. It's like getting mugged, only...fun.

Deadly Lethal Ninja Assassin was really poppy and I thought less of it to begin with but now it's definitely up there with Crushed. Single, for sure. Also got major kudos for Cities on Fire, which I thought up until the Download webcast wasn't so good. Now it's BOSS. Suffocation of the Soul is fucking minted, like a spaced out mind trip. The "I've lost it a little bit" is brilliant, and it evolves like a shape shifting beast throughout. Epic close with A Short History of Nearly Everything, as has been the habit so far. Beautiful piano-ey bit and the "at first it's dark, and then it's light" which sends a chill up me every time!

Best thing about the album is this; it has it's faults, like any other album. But you really have to nit-pick to find em. Like how An Act of Kindness kinda stumbles about halfway through then picks up again with a tasty guitar line, or how Crushed would sound better if it was even LOUDER, or maybe that's just me.

No amount of random dribbling is going to convey how much I like this album, how Reuben have evolved immensely without even losing the Reuben 'sound', and how much I'm really going to enjoy seeing these songs live.

Long live Reuben.

If I meet you I'd be really happy if you had a beard. Fake or not. It's just how I've always pictured you.
