To be fair, its a fairly obvious riff - Jamie made it up on the spot in a soundcheck, its not like he spent hours labouring over it.

yeah thats the song im on about, and as for it being a fairy "easy" riff, i see that as somewhat of a slight on the music, be it simple or not its a genius song as im sure youll agree and yeah i was semi joking anyhoo, i know what u mean about it being simple. but all i have to say on the matter is

"my sooooooooooong for saturday"

I don't think it sounds much like Song for Saturday at all...

Okay, the riff has a few of the same notes, but there's only 12 of the buggers to choose from, you're going to get that sometimes. Nothing else in the song is remotely similar.

I'm no musician, but to me it only sounds vaaaguely similar. If the similarity hadn't been suggested I don't think I would have noticed.

That chord progression is used all the time...

Rival Schools, Used For Glue for example, I actually thought of that song when I originally listened to Song for Saturday...

but completely different songs. Good ones too Very Happy

yeah its a nice progression for sure, im glad u think my point was good smithers ha

seriously, i dunno, i use about 10-20 forums for various niches and reasons and whatnot and this one is good for stuff (im really big on reuben btw to clarify got my tattoo of the flame/circle combo long ago ) anyhoooooo, it just seems really apathetic and downbeat you know ?

like full of nice people , i know a few of the glasgow people to talk to at gigs etc, but yeah , people seem to want to shit on anything you have to say just because really......oh well

life goes on , hope you asll have a great night,

oh and chavelle are absolutly disgusting and should be avoided at all costs,

for anyone interested.

Duuude, we realise it was light hearted - it wasn't through lack of humour or anything, only some of us happen to disagree with you! No worries Smile
