yo ric, will there be a new design of the website with the release of the new album?
you did new ones for both the previous albums that coinsided with the album artwork. so will the be for In Nothing We Trust?

how rude!! Wink

the new one will be slightly more cut down than the older sites purely because i hardly have any spare time to work on it anymore. (for instance, i started work on the part i'm currently doing about a month ago, and i've done all of 2 evenings work on it).

this doesn't mean the site won't have anything "new" on it though.

I have to make a website for a band for my degree......I am RUBBISH AT IT. I have a new found respect for Ric (especially as he has children as well....although I do have Aidan..) and anyone else who can design a really good looking unique site that actually works.

Can we not have a really teeney weeney window as the bulk of the site next time? Sure it's different but it's just so...small! Or if the small window must remain, how much extra workload would it add to still make it look all fly if you run it in a full size window?

Just my two pence...

I'd go with what he said. I always run it in a big window cos i hate having loads of windows open.

size of the window is not down to me as i do not design the site.

the only way i can present a "small window" site in a full screen window and it not look crap is the way i've done it for the current site: massive borders round the edge. but that does allow you to have the site open in a browser tab rather than a popup window.

Thats the problem with websites. In this case and the case of the Bastille fan site. I design it to be contained in a small table for the first version, then a windowed version for version 2 because i knew the updates wouldn't be huge, just small bits of news/tabs etc so its hard to make it full screen because the content would make it look crap. The same goes for the Reuben site. But as Ric said, he doesn't design it :d
