Rod Stewart is the best bit on this DVD along with the actual menu which I stared at for at least two minutes before choosing anything.

I notice the bass thing other people are mentioning, but I don't think it's making things as bad as what it comes across as, just sounds a bit twangy at parts.

This is an example of how bands should make DVDs, there's too many out there who think chucking a shoddily put together gig can make a DVD but this has loads of extras for the Reuben fan. The only thing that would make it any better is the music vids but they're already all on the site! What more could you ask for? (apart from the third album sneakily hidden as an extra somewhere...as if pfft!)

Love it guys, love it. You've done well!

I'm really glad the studio diaries were on there actually, because I missed most of them when they were up on myspace. My favourite clip on the dvd has to be when Jamie sings the blues though, especially the part about Jon having "hair like chewbacca and being a waitrose shelf stacker". Classic.

Rod Stewart has to be the best bit on the DVD by far.

some of siKth albums had hidden content that was accessible on their website and you had to listen to the lyrics for the key. And some codes are hidden in the artwork of albums sneakily.

"look at the skies" is an example.

Got back to striling after the Glasgow gig and watched the entire dvd, brilliant. The live show cannae be faulted, the bass sound is the usual reuben bass sound ( thon fender + a bit of overdrive/fuzz ) and yeah it is twangy at parts, but it always is. It's nice. Great dvd. could only be made better with the videos. and making ofs for the vids.

oh yeeeaaah, pure getting an ideas thread for the next DVD goin....

Very Happy

I don't think so - The bass sound i get from the CD's is more soild, usual passive fender sounds with fuzz always sound more solid to me - Speedhorn use Fender's, and our bassist does too. I wouldn't mind the bass sound so much if it wasn't so damn loud.

The bass sound on the cds will seem more solid as there is layer over layer of guitar surrounding it, where as live they have one guitar going on. Them being a three piece, the power has to be made up somehow.

Not taking into acount the assorted modeling plug ins etc used in recording.

Bear in mind the metalic tawng that comes off of brand new bass strings.

Thats awffy big of you , well done.

IMO etc etc

( this all being based on my experience with both fender bass guitars and many a reuben gig of course )
