Dont ditch guitar and play bass. anyone. play both. why play one instrument when you can play them all? obviously not at the same time. but if you want to be in a band, then the more instruments you can play the better. Like me. I play everything. except drums. stupid parents. that said, I majorly suck at brass, though thats my latest addition.

I've never been able to find decent drummers. Ever. There are plenty of shit ones, but if they can't cope with 5/4 then... theyre useless to me. thats blatantly the best time signature ever.

When the guy I want to drum for me finally gets around to getting his own kit, me and my band members will collectively be able to play guitar, bass (two of us can - although I'm going to be the main bassist), drums, piano, keyboard, glockenspiel, ukelele, finger cymbals and bongos. Very Happy

I don't think the ukelele, finger cymbals or bongos would get used much though. Rolling Eyes

Ever since I heard Veldt I realised that you don't need a drummer to be good. They use a drum machine and sound bloody amazing.

Why would I diss the bongos when I'm the one who owns them? Actually, I'm the one who owns the weird instruments... Confused

I have one of those sticks that make a sound like trickling water that hippies have, too. Very Happy

Surely you jest! 7/8 is by far the best time signature!

5/8 is kinda fun, but it only sounds REALLY awesome when you throw in in to break up 6/8, a la No One Wins The War.

In fact, both 7/8 and 5/8 work really well when breaking up 6/8... and I do love 6/8. So that's the best.

7/8 is such a bastard of a time signature to get sounding good. i think the best time signature has to be good old 4/4. you cant go wrong with it. when was the last time you had a number one hit with 7/8. lol

not enough people write modern stuff in 3/4 now. Let's have a good ole' waltz!

but i am partial to 5/4, but the only thing i can think of in it is is "Take Five" Confused
