I was at Guilfest '05, watching them getting bottled may have been the worst experience I've ever had at a gig Sad

Why did they actually get bottled? I could never understand why they'd provoke people to need to bottle them Shocked

It remains a mystery to me!

Desipite that I have a great disliking for both bands, I don't feel that flying bottle of piss was diserved. However, watching video footage I have to admit I laughed out loud.

ok.
Though a rational music fan would probably just choose to see another band that's playing at the same time, rather than staying just to bottle a band they don't like. Or so one would expect.
What (aside from musical taste) makes the experience of the music fan who has come to see a hugely popular band less important or 'valid' than that of the music fan who has come to see a more obscure band?
Why should the 'mainstream' music fan have to deal with the 'obscure' music fans decision to throw bottles at the band the first fan wants to see?
Or does it sometimes work both ways?

To be honest I don't think it works both ways. Comercial bands like The Rasmus will always get heavily bottled and bands like Dillinger won't. I don't think Angel was justifying the act of bottling, he was just explaining why it happens.

However bands like Fall out boy and MCR are in rational music fans' eyes unrespectable and generally shite, and since they are big the only way to speak out against these bands who are putting the "alternative" music market to shit is to do it face to face.

That's what led me to believe Angel was justifying the act of bottling a mainstream band. Guess I took it the wrong way Embarassed

huh?
I wrote that I was mistaken.
See, this Embarassed means 'oops'.
You say oops (or use the oops face)when you make a mistake.
Now relax, chill, have a cuppa.
it's all good hey Smile

p.s. if i was tone deaf i probably wouldn't like the fine band this forum is dedicated to, tonedeaf ppl wouldnt appreciate such awesome music.
