I had that earlier, but I tried an hour or so after and it worked fine. So all I can suggest is to try again later. Also make sure you DON'T right click > save as... and don't stream it from the site.

[edit - you shouldn't use save as - there is new code to force it to pop up with the save dialog when you click on the links - ric]

EDIT: HA yeah I just realised that as you can see in my next post, woops Embarassed

that message is only supposed to come up if you try to access the download file from anywhere but the reuben site...

are you right clickign and selecting "save target as", because you shouldn't be... you should just click on them like any normal link Smile

Works fine for me, just realised the download bit comes up when you left click it too so you dont actually have to right click Rolling Eyes

Hmm, still don't seem to be working for me. They were working a day or two ago, managed to watch Stuck In My Throat and others, but now it kind of loads a bit and then comes up with:

"This file cannot be called manually or from the forum.

If you have saved this file to your computer and expected it to be a media file from the Reuben site, make sure you just click on the links on the site - don't try to 'save target as'."

Erk, perhaps I should try later again, but it seems strange that it was working a couple of days ago.

it's not strange at all - there was no code to show that message a couple of days ago... there is now... simple as that Smile

quite why you get the message though, i don't know. you shouldn't... i've not been able to get it anywhere i've tried (home, work, friends computers etc)

what operating system and browser are you using? and who's your internet provider?

i'd guess that this problem is only going to happen for people on larger ISPs who use stupid transparent proxies which you can't get around.

this means that when you click on the link, instead of the referring page being the media page, it'll be the copy of the media page from your ISPs proxy... which isn't allowed access to the download script.

i'll make a test page to attempt to prove this and then try and work out what to do about it.

i've made a change which should stop the page from being cached by proxy servers.

have another go.

if you get teh same message, right click on the page and choose refresh / reload a few times.
