Got Victim from the single of A Kick In The Mouth and it's awesome. Very Dusk-esque, far too good to be a b-side methinks.

It's a really old song and VFVD is all new songs. It's not as well recorded so would have to be re-recorded to fit in with the new stuff. I guess maybe it could have been released as a pre-racecar single, but the other pre-racecar singles are ten times better.

Didnt have a clue it was so old. Am pretty new to Reuben, jumped on the bandwagon when the Freddy Kreuger single aired on Scuzz. Been hooked ever since.

You should try and get hold of some of the older stuff, it rocks!

The first 3 singles - Scared of the Police, Stux, and Lets Stop Hanging Out are all out of print and you'll have to pay silly amounts on ebay for a copy. Scared of the police was limited to 500 so they go for 50 + now...

There is the Pilot EP which ric still sells on ebay, it's amazing, got some wicked songs on there.

Here are some ebay links:

PILOT EP - 4.50 + 1 p&p buy it now http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Reuben-Pilot-EP-Brand-New-Un-opened_W0QQitemZ4768617310QQcategoryZ1572QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Stux - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Reuben-Stux-tell-me-its-alright_W0QQitemZ4769336757QQcategoryZ43657QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I don't think the new version is album-worthy myself. I actually prefer the old acoustic version.

(http://www.farnboroughgroove.com/mp3/11%20-%20ANGEL%20-%20Victim.mp3 if you're interested).

They're both pretty damn cool, but I don't think they're first rate Reuben material.

Every Racecar and VFVD single has had at least one really old, previously unreleased (if you don't count demos) song as a b-side. So don't give up hope.

There isnt too many old songs to re-do now, obviously push lissom have been mentioned but there is also red machine maybe Dreyfuss (better than Stealing is easy!! Twisted Evil) unless they were to do another cover, possibly Dive by Nirvana i know that was performed live once, that is of course if there even is a next single, ive been informed that there isnt plans for a next single and only if Xtra Mile push for one, it will probably be Nobody Love You. I was thinking that if Nobody was to be the next single would it follow the atrwork of the other singles as it will isnt exactly a very fast and very dangerous kinda song, so would a wheelcahir be used as the vehical in question Very Happy i think to much about these things. Woo my longest post ever!

i don't think the new version of victim sounds that much different, but thats maybe cos my record player is fucked. push would be an ace bside!

Wasn't Red Machine just an instrumental Racecar demo? Not that old!

The longer version of shambles (which I still haven't heard...) would make an ace b-side by the sounds of it.
