I'm really sorry, but this has to be said.

Racecar doesn't compare. As an album this is just so full and complete... all the poppy stuff which had me worried before makes perfect sense now, because it all works so well in the context of the album as a whole. The only track I'm not that keen on is Boy, but what can you do really, even that is starting to grow on me. Fuggin excellent, well done guys, this is about as top notch as it gets Smile

Tabs soon! Very Happy

If i had to pick worst tracks it would be It's All About Control and Good Night dont really feel them as much as the others but still not bad by any means. Aidan i agree racecar doesnt compare, how good is the Lights Out AS3 combo, straight in with it! LOVE IT!

It's sooooooooooooooooooooooooo fantastical! and it's one of the few albums I actually have to listen to in order because it makes the most sense that way...it's like some kind of journey it starts off all quite light and almost happy with kick in the mouth and nobody loves you and then bang its so heavy and grr and your like well where did that come from. woo hooo for Reuben..... *dances*

Play.com are awaiting stock Sad

Fook it, I'm off up town on the off-chance that one of Goole's shitty music outlets has developed taste.

its bloody ace, I think its wicked. My fave track has to be 'Everytime a teenager...' (because of THAT riff) or 'Return of the Jedi' which is just awesome. It has so many interesting parts and the lyrics..... "these Helmet rip offs, they don't buy my lunch, so I'll get a real job in the office" (may not be fully accurate, my memory is a bit weak at the mo). Jamie sounds quite bitter in that song.

VFVD is also made so enjoyable by the production. I always felt Racecar's production was a bit weak and didn't capture the energy of Reuben's music, but VFVD has a nice big sound and balls to it. As said many times before, this album is definately more focused, like Return of the Jedi and Nobody Loves You are completely different, but work together on the same album. Well done lads
