Hello,
At the shops there is a new music magazine out called Zero, and with it, there is a CD entitled '13 best untitled bands'.
It was not until you look in the magazine that you realise that the first track is 'Reuben - Every Time a Teenager Listens to Drum N Bass a Rockstar Dies'.

The magazine has been out for a few days, but Reuben isnt advertised anywhere on the front cover or anything, so it is easy to miss.

Nevertheless, the track is good! The electro beats sure are funky Cool

Dunno why it is on an unsigned bands CD though Confused Tells you inside that VFVD is on XtraMile label, so they arent completely stupid. It's 3.95 for the magazine, but when VFVD is so close to being released, it would probably be cheaper to wait.

Had a quick flick through the magazine in good ol' Wem co-op, but it was fucking shite. So I put it down and bought some pork chops.

Who else is on the CD? I#d pay 3.95 if it had decent tracks on it

Brigade are playing round my neck of the woods tomorrow night, not sure if I can be arsed to go. Although they're playing with Zucchini, so I might

And apart from MAC, thats all I've heard of. Don't think I'll bother then

You may aswell wait, yes, but i cannot even convey how good they have made this song.
It has a super cool electronic intro, in a similar vein to Biffy's Glitter and Trauma, and it builds up the song brilliantly.
If it was on perhaps last issue's cd (issue 1), then it would probably have been better, but since now there are 3 days before VFVD, no point in getting it now Very Happy

I've already heard Teenager, and yes, it is good

But once I get the proper real-life copy of VFVD in my hands on Monday morning, it'll probably sound a helluva lot better!! This is gonna be the longest weekend ever...

Maybe this deserves its own thread, but you can buy the whole album from karmadownload and playlouder now, if you are that way inclined. Smile

I suppose though that one of the novelties of the album will be to actually own it- it will be for me. An album with no artwork or lyrics makes it feel like i have somehow got hold of it illegally. Plus, there are obvious quality advantages with a CD compared to MP3 Razz

Any reason why you can download it a day early Ric?
