Ha, never mention the chorus thing when hempy is around.

Not exactly the most professional review i've ever read Confused

The whole album seems very rushed. Set to be released only 15 months after their debut could be something to do with it, it’s as if they’re worried their fans will disappear if they don’t record something quickly. We wouldn’t. We haven’t.

Um...well, the huge delay of RIRB coming out meant that the songs were probably not rushed, but written naturally, and given that some of the songs were years old already (says the Discography) they'd written loads of the new stuff BEFORE IT WAS RELEASED...
Point being, Racecar started recording two years ago...and two years for writing 13 good songs is a pretty normal work rate, so it's hardly "rushed out". Nobody ever berates Biffy for releasing an album every 14 months, so why these guys?
And A Kick in the Mouth and Lights Out have awesome choruses- heresy!

Lights Out is better than a night with yer maw.

For shame on the reviewer. Why didn't she mention the greatness that is Everytime a Teenager...?! Surely the recorded version must be as amazing as the live version.

It's even better.

P.S. I've slated Biffy Clyro for everything from releasing a single every week to having stupid beards.

My own opinion of VFVD is that there are some killer tracks on it but it'll probably be a grower.

They didn't do a good job of slating it, none of the things they say are really based on anything.

God that is really badly written isnt it, and Im not just saying that as a defensive reuben fan! The language she uses and her turn of phrase is dreadful! Doesn't tell me anything constructive just just a laod of messy sentences! "might entice a few straightedgers!?" What!? Do you know what straight edge means!?
