Was handed the "Betrayed" demo and saw 'Angel' play at the WEC in 2000.
Can't remember when exactly or who they supported.
One show was with Groop Dogdrill the other was with Vex Red before they got snapped up by ross robinson. i seem to remember the VR show being the day that i told jamie i'd release a cd on badmusic though so there must've been another show before then...! |

I first heard them on Music: Response on XFM (in the good ol' days when Zipper was running things!). Saw SOTP vid on MTV2 and was completely and utterly blown away by their live performance supporting Biffy Clyro and Vex Red at the Astoria, 2002 (I think). It's been a giddy, wind in the sails ride ever since....

i first noticed reuben when they played at my uni (herts) in 2002 about a week before the sotp video was on mtv2. Even through the shittiest PA and sound mix i was really impressed and went to buy a cd after the gig only to find they had forgot them! so i bought a tshirt instead!!
been a fan ever since... _________________ No studio today, No Studio today |

I'm ashamed to say I only heard of them about a year ago now. Saw Freddy on MTV2 once, it stuck in my head but I didn't remember who they were until my boyfriend said how good their album was later on, so I decided I'd give it a go too.

Just watched the video on Scuzz and visited this site. At first look I thought it was a Hives rip off but I was wrong.
Really love that song.
Looking forward to hearing more and hopefully seeing them live.

When they supported Vex Red at the Westy gig, Jamie had done the markered on moustache thing, and from the back it looked real, and then obviously when I saw him I realised it was fake..... That was actually my dream gig, I just didn't know it at the time but VR, Biffy and Reuben would be something I'd ask http://www.wish.org/ for!! _________________ Parties DO break hearts
