Listening to the new album, I was more than surprised to find a calm, acoustic duet for track 7. And MY GOD it is good.
What i wanted to ask is: does anyone have/know of the guitar tab for that? I really want to learn to play it... |

Actually i dont see why he wouldnt want it posted so here goes, all credit to Aidan, its pretty much spot on by my ears
Code: |
Artist: Reuben
Song: Good Luck
Available on: In Nothing We trust
Tabbed by: Aidan O'Brien - aidan.e.obrien@gmail.com on 15/06/07
The acousticy singalong track I expect to see at lots of open mic nights in the near future. It's half a step down, but I've written it in drop D cos I can't be bothered with all the different giggery pokery. Sing it loud and proud.

Seems like a pretty good tab to me.
aidan, do you want it putting up on Ultimate-Guitar? I've got an account on there.
All credit given to you on it obviously.
I've just submitted a tab for 'Doll Fin' on there not too long ago actually. _________________

I don't think it's in drop D. Makes much more sense in standard tuning (well.....Eb) The 7th fret E in the "It made perfect business sense" part should be an octave lower.....an open E string, rather than an insanely silly stretch to the 2nd fret which it would have to be if it was drop D. _________________ MPCTV! - www.multipurposechemical.com |

Just thought i would share an easier way to play the first bit. Standard tuning (but the real version is with all strings down a semitone.)
Code: | e|-------------------|------------------|-------------------|-------------
b|-------------------|------------------|-------------------|-------------
g|-------------------|-----------1------|-------------------|1-1---2s4-----
d|-----------1-------|----1h2-----2-----|-----------1-------|2-2---4s6-----
a|----0h2------2-----|0-----------------|----0h2------2-----|0-0---0-0----
e|0------------------|------------------|0------------------|-------------- |
Bar the DGBE strings to make it easier.
Just banged it out quick.
Hope this helps. |

Yo. I'm back. Glad people liked it - if I'd had time before I went away I would have adjusted it as there are two things I'm not happy with. It is indeed not in drop D, its in the tuned down concert tuning EADGBe tuned down half a step. Also, the regular E chord in the chorus is wrong... theres some awesome dissonance going on there. I'll work it out when I haven't been up for 30 hours. Flights from Cuba suck, I know many of you have probably been all over the world but thats the longest flight I've ever done and it was pants, I feel like shit. Awesome holiday though.
Anyhoo, a corrected version of that will be posted soon. At the suggestion of Ric I'm also going to impliment some kind of organised system of posting/discussing/correcting tabs in the "Your Stuff" section, but again - sleeeeeep needed... _________________ Well if you're just gonna be like that

Hey Aidan,
Thanks for an awesome tab. Am just about to go away and learn it, and was wondering if you'd had a chance to correct it yet?
Thanks
