Ello,

Has anyone noticed the tinkling sound at about 1.28 on A Kick in the Mouth?

I stupidly hadn't noticed before, i just thought it would be a xylophone or something, but now i listen to it, is it in fact the boy's favourite bevage container? Tea cups?!?!

It does sound a lot like spoons hitting cups! But probably isn't...

it sounds like one of those cool ideas that comes up out of the blue, like guy would be playing on the cups in the studio in a break and then they mic them up with a condenser or something.

i suppose if they added VFVD to the discography this extrmley important matter would be cleared up.

it's two different tones. So most likely not a drum rim. I like tea idea.

i always liked the way those sort of percussive tinkles brought out the rhythm, calypso style. i only just noticed that it sounded like cups the other day..

i haven't noticed the phone in NOWTW, i shall check it out.

Will jim be playing a piano the Feb tour do you think? I'm looking forward to that.

Maybe guy will crack out the vibraphone and timpani

Just realised what you're talking about, the start of the second verses. They're blatantly deliberate. Sounds like cowbells

I'll have to look for the phone in NOWTW

Aren't the sounds on A Kick in the Mouth just cymbals being hit on the bells?
