If I was only allowed to listen to one song on RIRB for the rest of my days, I would go for Stuck in My Throat, because it always sounds fresh, plus there are enough twists and turns to keep you interested for many a year. Plus, it's the best song.
On VFVD, it would be Lights Out, hands down, no questions. One of the most perfectly put togehter songs I have heard. _________________ penguin orchestra. |

mine is now no one wins the war. its got the whole package.
a RIFF! big heavy screaming parts, quiet nice parts, epic anthemic parts.
everything that reuben is, in one song. _________________ Tiny little ducklings wearing paper hats. Standing outside the worlds tallest block of flats. |

Right now Teenager... & Lights Out are having a battle much like the one in Star Trek between Spock and Kirk for 1st place.

I've actually been listening to more of the old stuff lately and Id have to say that 'Ways of Staying Pure@ is now a definite favourite...as is 'Doll Fin' (although technically it's an Angel song) _________________ In Somnis Veritas |

God, are you all stupid? It just has to be No-One Wins The War, purely based on the fact that that song is genius. Ok, the opening riff is very rash and random, but how well does it fit with the vocals? And then the "Hell is for hereos, they got another single out..." bit? and then the kick-ass riff with a lorra lorra screaming, and then the melodic and rhythmic genius of the 'It's all lost now...' bit, and then......holy shit.....'You will find me out, oh yeah, you will find me out..' oh, and that drumbeat.....oh, i just love that song... and that's just off racecar.
From VFVD, it would have to be 'Return of the Jedi'...only because it's the angriest, that's the only reason it;s better than the rest, other than the 'How's about you come down and i'll explain, get yourself to London on a train' bit, which is awesomeness, and makes me bounce every time i hear it.
Then from Pilot, 'twould have to be....possibly Crimson? or Words From Reuben? No idea which though, i love them both.
And then the issue. My favourite B-Side or old track. Wow, that's difficult. I think that it's a draw between...Banner Held High, Victim, Lissom Slo, Wooden Boy, or Karin. Or possibly even No Exit Wound..but to me, i think that the b-sides are as good, if not better than the album tracks.
After much deliberation, i have to pick a goddamn track, don't I?
Ok......it's a draw.
No-One Wins The War, or Banner Held High _________________ I've never been so relieved that you will find me out....
