am i the only one who, while liking the sound of that, worries what kind of unholy ritual would be required to make anything heavier?

Anything musically related to Devin Townsend is a work of genious, especially the Devin Townsend Band or Ocean Machine. You can't really get heavier than the Beserker or Anal Cunt. Both bands suck though.

what about will havens's carpe diem album ?
all it is is distilled heavyness , completely devoid of tunes...only pure heavy.
crowbar were very heavy as well ... so were kyuss, but that was a different kind of heavy
ah, i was such a teenage metalhead Rolling Eyes

ps, everytime i die arent heavy, just chaotic...same goes for converge and dillinger escape plan

How the hell can you put ETID in the same level of heaviness as Carcass?
They're not that heavy. Fuck, I call them an emo band.

Strapping Young Lad = awesomeXcore. Cool

That said, a bit of ETID or DEP is certainly not what I'd play in front of my parents...it's enough to make them kick me out of the house.

Too right, i would call death by stereo/passanger/ the blueprint/a7x really heavey not just power chords and double bass pedals. Like ETID
