Feeling nostalgic in my old age as I recently turned 20, exactly 5 years and 6 days after Reuben announced their hiatus I decided to only listen to Reuben for the entire week...it was a good week! But fuck me I miss you guys, the world needs you back! Real goonie's never say die and I'm still keeping my hopes up for a return! Very Happy Love you guys

Steve

I was watching the Aldershot DVD, the Studio Diaries, and it reminded me of how serious I was about Reuben. I've not stopped listening to them, and in fact they've only got more popular round my area after the split. Even a one off tour would be freakin' awesome. Get the fans to vote for a setlist and shit. I know you're reading this. SIM SIM SALABIMMM...

I still love them, can't stop listening to them either! Everyone I've got to listen to them has started listening to them aswell and can't stop either. I would sell my left testie for one last tour..it would be amazing! Can't believe people are still in the forum's aswell, just goes to show the dedication of their fans!

Not that I'm new to the forums but it's been a while since I posted. I saw this thread and thought I'd register again to chip in.

Reuben need to come back. I've been a fan since the days they played Thurrock Music Festival (TMF). Jamie walked past me once I still kick myself for not taking the time to say hello. They just got massive after that. Got all the albums, some of the singles and spotify playlist is on at least once a month.

Man I miss 'em. Would give my right nut to see them live again (thinking with Steve's lefty, that'd make one ballsy gig).

Long live Reuben. Stop fucking around and get back together, please.

Ric - I dont know if you're still close to the band, but any news? Does the band ever talk about potential writing?

no news i'm afraid, other than what you already know which is:

Guy is in Freeze The Atlantic now. They're touring Ireland at some point and their album should be out this year.

Jon was in FTA but isn't anymore. I'm not 100% sure what he's up to but I think he's playing as part of the backing band for someone

Jamie's doing more illustration work than humanly possible.

If I were you, I wouldn't hold your breath for a Reuben reunion any time soon (as in years).

It's fascinating how a band like Reuben can leave such a mark in those who enjoyed and still enjoy their music. Listening to them is like starting a nostalgia trip, remembering things in my life that happened even long before I started listening to them. Yes I know it sounds odd, but I guess some of you will share this feeling.

I guess I'm late, anyway. Discovered them 3-4 years ago when they were forever gone (or so it seems) and to know I won't be able to see them live is really sad. But well, I'd like you to know that the band had such a big impact in the alternative rock scene here in Spain!

Man us Reuben lot are die hards...its funny how so many of us STILL feel that ugly gaping reuben shape wound... not many bands could claim that.

Dont wish hard times on anyone but wish the guys could do with a few extra bucks...
Even with some sensible low key internet publicity reuben could pack out a few last shows for certain.

Somebody should start a kickstart page to raise money to pay for a final Reuben tour. I reckon if it was advertised enough enough money would be pulled together and the boys could easily make a chunk from one off final tour merch.

unfortunately that wouldn't work, they wouldn't do a tour just for money.
