Hey again! Surprised)

The Boileroom show is an ACM battle of the bands stylee thing. I know Dy-Star are playing who are scull-crushingly good (and very different to what we're bringing to the table!). Not sure who the others bands are.

Our front man Andy is at ACM, as is Erlin so they might be able to fill in the blanks for me - I'll post the other bands up once I know! I went to ACM in 2002 with Mr Guy Davis, so its been a while - I don't know how things work down there or who any of the prominent bands are anymore!

If anyone is thinking of heading down for the Boileroom show, then get there way before doors at 7.30pm. We've confirmed over 50 guests and got 160 odd 'maybe attending' facebook people - and this is excluding all the non-facebook attendees. the capacity of the Boileroom is 130 so we're going to be near fire regulations with just our fans. Dy-Star have nearly an equal number of people going, let alone the other two bands! Its going to be very busy down there!! Surprised)

We also just booked a last minute headline slot for THIS THURSDAY at the Remix Bar, Woking. Again, this one is looking very busy and also has the added incentive of...

1 shots

1 bottles

GET IN!!!

Hope you're all well and had a nice bank holiday weekend!

Hello All!

Just a quick MIDGAR update for those of you that are interested!

We finished our EP and it's sounding shit hot! Tracks from it will be posted on our Facebook and Myspace pages on the 31st of May! The first two 'making of' video's are up on the Myspace page for your viewing pleasure! More to follow...

www.myspace.com/midgaruk

We're awaiting the finished painted artwork from an artist in Leeds, then its off to pressing. Should be available around July time.

Gig wise: We stormed our BOTB heat on the May 13th at The Boileroom, Guildford and are now through to the final - same venue on June 24th. Would love to see everyone packing the place again!

We also supported Open The Skies on the 17th at a bloody great church in Woking. The Organisers told us that collectively, we pulled just under 600 people in for that gig - thanks if any of you came along, it was for charity and judging by numbers, I think we did ok! We'll be repeating the gig in August at the same venue - details to follow, there's nothing like a circle pit in a church! Wink

So, coming up we have:

June 18th - The Peel, Kingston - supporting Open The Skies - we're putting a coach on from Guildford, message the myspace or facebook if you're interested!

June 24th - The Boileroom, Guildford - BOTB final - come down for err, noodles, Jager and to help us win this one!

All the best!

Hello guys and gals,

There's been LOADS happening in Midgar's world so I thought I'd post an update of whats going on! Surprised)

We played the Peel, Kingston a few weeks back - it was recorded for radio - we'll let you know details as soon as we know - needless to say it was brutal, and sold out - 2 circle pits erupted from nowhere and things got a bit hectic! ;o)

We were competing in the finals of this years big ACM Battle Of The Bands Final. We played pretty much the set of our lives to another sell out crowd. We won the event and have now aquired more studio time to finish our EP.

All the artwork for the E.P is finished and we're going through the motions of getting merch ordered.

2 tracks from our upcoming EP are available to listen to at both:

www.myspace.com/midgaruk

and

http://www.facebook.com/pages/MIDGAR/10352697842

All of our studio video's and our BOTB video diary are available to watch at both pages too - please go have a giggle!

Although we're currently booking shows, those confimed so far are:

1st July - Remix Bar, Woking
19th July - Boileroom, Guildford (Afternoon - all ages, evening, 18+)
29th August - Woking/Sheerwater - Venue TBC
30th August - Headline Headfest, Hindhead
11th Sept - HUB, Exeter

Get in touch!

MIDGAR

Wow, you're really good, awesome vocal harmonies! Probably some of the best vocal harmonies I've heard for a while, it seems to be a dying art nowadays.

How did you go about getting an endorsement? I assume it's a more complicated matter than contacting the company and telling them you're good and they'd do well to give you free gear, right?

Hello Rich,

Thanks very much - from all of us! We're big fans of dynamics in music, and the harmonies add the kind of 'size' we want to portray with the songs...

The endorsement was a bit of a suprise, in our case we we're approached by Yamaha after we won the annual ACM battle of the bands last month. They make some sick guitars nowadays, especially the AES series - they're built for drop A tuning, which is all fine and dandy with us! Smile
