EDIT #3: The results...
Part one: 25 - 11
Part two: 10 - 1
_____________________________________________________
Exactly what it says on the tin. Submit your top 20, preferably to my email address, by the 7th of August. I'll tally them all up to come up with the popular vote, and present them in an article to the website I write for called denofgeek.com
It doesn't have a lot of music related items and I know they want to move in that direction, so what better than saluting one of Britains finest bands with a good send off.
E-mail: runemusic@hotmail.co.uk
Rules:
1. Anything that's been released on CD
a) Anything from the three albums, or the EPs/Singles is good. Anything untraceable (like lissom slo or blitzkreig) will be disregarded.
b) Christmas Is Awesome is fine. As is Capitain Of Lies
c) Covers are unacceptable, purely because Reuben didn't write it first, even if they are awesome.
2. Any specifics [i.e. Glitterskin from the b-side not from the EP] will be lumped together. This includes Shambles long and Shambles short.
3. Please do email me with 20 songs ranked from 20(lowest) to 1(highest) so I can sort all the songs accordingly. It's alright if you hand in a lesser number as long as they are ranked, anything more than 20 will be uncounted.
I'm looking for 50 submissions, at least. I really want to get a good scope of what people really like.
Thats it, any questions just ask!
Thanks to anyone who does this
EDIT: can you add your wordsfromreuben forum username to the email? If you dont have one it's fine, but the more I know the better
EDIT #2: Added some amendments to the rules to avoid confusion

Lissom Slo untraceable, huh??
http://www.recordproduction.com/reuben.ram
9 min video of the recording of lissom slo, including the full recorded song being played to the end. It's poor quality but this is the vid that the only available audio version was ripped from.
you need realplayer to stream it

Alright theres a bad quality video of the song being played. But it's not like it's available on CD, eh?
And as for the eurovision thing, it's much smaller, and this is more of a send off to the band in an full article, that might send the word of the band to many more people (the website I write for gets about 10,000 unique views a month). It also means that if they ever were to return, they might have a much more solid new fanbase.
So please, compile away! |

I doubt you'll get 50 people. I got just about 20 when I did the Eurovision. _________________ Tiny little ducklings wearing paper hats. Standing outside the worlds tallest block of flats. |

Yeah, put up a comment on their myspace, facebook fan page etc too for more input... I will send my email off in due course...
Can't believe a short history of nearly everything didn't even make it into the top 10 eurovision. It's the greatest Reuben song by a mile! |

Disregard his choices. For a start he's only got 3. |

Actually, your one brought a question to mind, since you included them both...
Shambles, 2 songs or one song? Sure, all the old tracks that were re-recorded are basically the same (length and structure wise, not including extra hammond organ here), but the two versions of shambles are pretty different...
I'll leave it up to you lot I guess, Both included or just count as one? |

I think it is pretty safe to say long Shambles wins out over the other released version. Having said that the two versions of Glitterskin are different but I would always go for the b-side version with the organ. It makes the song for me and make me want to use one in everything (well this song and Jimmy Smith). |

Decided. Both versions count as one. [I will mention though that there are two versions, as I would with any doublers that crop up]
Whoever sent me the version with both in his list, can you send an alternate number 20 then? |
