| SAT 15TH MAY 2004: FREDDY KREUGER ARTWORK AND DETAILS | Our new single, ''Freddy Kreuger', is released on Monday the 31st of May on Xtra Mile recordings, through Vital distribution. It will be available nationwide on CD and limited edition 7'¯ vinyl. The b-sides on the single are previously unreleased track Once and a new version of old fave Glitterskin. (Please note - these recordings include slide guitar AND hammond organ., so take care.) The title track is taken from our album Racecar is Racecar Backwards, which we recorded in the summer of last year, and it sounds bigger and better than anything we've done before. We recorded Once with Angus, our tour manager on many recent outings, at the studios at the West End Centre in Aldershot, and Glitterskin was recorded with our pal Ginger at Reading University. It's a cracking three track record,* we're very proud of it, and it's also our first release on Xtra Mile so run out and order your copy now! Check out the cover artwork below!

Very. | | permalink | | FRI 7TH MAY 2004: ALBUM MASTERED | Yesterday we trekked on up to Townhouse Studios in Shepherds Bush to master our album with the legend Frank Arkwright (Feeder, Million Dead, Squarepusher)...The album is 16 tracks long and it sounds massive. It took us 15 hours from start to finish, and frankly we'd all gone a bit silly by the end of it. Highlights of the day include free tea, Jon's first Rolo Mcflurry, and Jamie's dubious purchase of a packet of 'Garlic flavour Pretzel Pieces'...
In other news, we can be seen gracing the pages of the current issue of industry paper 'Music Week', as part of an article regarding Xtra Mile's signing to SINE, the part of Sony that deals with indie labels such as Independiente and Visible Noise of Lost Prophets fame.
Also, as some of you have seen, the Freddy Kreuger video is starting to get some plays on MTV2 which is cracking, so keep e-mailing mtv2@mtvne.com and texting the cow! And if you were tuned in to Radio One tonight you would've heard Zane Lowe trying to sing along! Mash-up!
